In accordance with EPA regulations, Powhatan County Public Schools has an Asbestos Management Plan in place. A copy of the plan is available for your review in the office of each school building. Asbestos information will be made available annually for Powhatan Middle School. Information about asbestos inspections, response actions, and post-response action activities, including periodic re-inspection and surveillance activities that are planned or in progress, will be posted on the website and available in the main office. The Parent Educational Advocacy Training Center (PEATC) is hosting a variety of events this summer aimed at empowering families and supporting student success.
