FALL FESTIVAL 2026
WE HAD A BUSHEL OF FUN, AND HOPE YOU DID TOO!
We want to say a huge thank you to all of the parents, volunteers and staff who made this year’s Fall Festival a success! We had over 30 raffle baskets from both FRES classrooms and the following local businesses: Hilldrup Health, Ice Den, Epic Fit, Beauty Awakened, Fury Soccer, Stars in Motion, Powhatan Music & Sound, Rise & Grind, Brain Balance and Inove Cleaning LLC. All of the money raised through raffle and game ticket sales goes right back to support our teachers and students.
And thank you to the Powhatan Sheriff’s Dept., the Huguenot Volunteer Fire Dept., Woodchuckers Tree Service, Always Hookin’, Warrior’s Way, Trey Williams and Drew Hilldrup for being a part of Touch-a-Truck!
And lastly, thank you to Food Lion for providing our pumpkins for the class decorating contest.

NOTE FROM YOUR BOARD
We want to announce the winners of 2 recent contests! The top 3 classes with the most PTO members win a popsicle parties hosted by the PTO. The top 3 classes are Dewey, Moss and Hopkins!
Also, during the Fall Festival there was a pumpkin decorating contest. The top 3 classes with the pumpkins most voted on win pizza parties hosted by the PTO. The top 3 classes are Amorese, Hannaford and Yates!
FUTURE EVENTS
NOVEMBER 2ND & NOVEMBER 3RD
No school for students and on Tuesday (Election Day!), Parent Teacher Conferences will be held.
NOVEMBER 5TH
The PTO General Meeting will be held from 6–7pm in the FRES Library. All are welcome to attend! If you cannot be there in person, a Google meet link will be sent to members beforehand.
NOVEMBER 12TH
Chick-fil-A Spirit Day—We earn 20% of every purchase made at the Chick-fil-A located at Westchester Commons. Just make sure you mention our school or use the mobile code “FLATROCK.” This month supports 1st Grade classes!
NOVEMBER 14TH
Holiday Craft Show from 10am–3pm. Come shop local vendors and support our school!
NOVEMBER 25TH THROUGH 27TH
No school for Thanksgiving Holiday!
