Mrs. Winston’s and Mrs. Garner’s seventh-grade English classes took their study of “The Outsiders” by S.E. Hinton a step further last week with a visit to the Innovation Lab. Working with Dr. Spott, students collaborated in small groups to design and build amusement parks inspired by the novel’s characters, themes, and events in the novel – helping build a deeper connection to the text through creativity and teamwork.
