Registration for Summer School opens on April 7. PCPS provides Summer School for Secondary students that need credit recovery for core classes (English and Math), and for a few credit advancement classes, such as HPE 9 & Econ/Personal Finance.

Schedule: Monday–Thursday (No class June 18 or July 2)
Time: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Attendance: Required – students may miss no more than two days

SECONDARY SUMMER SCHOOL (GRADES 6–12)
PCPS provides Summer School opportunities for secondary students who:
Need credit recovery for core classes (English & Math)
Want credit advancement opportunities
MIDDLE SCHOOL CREDIT RECOVERY
For students who failed a core course during the 2025–2026 school year.
Courses: English 6–8 or Math 6–8
Format: Face-to-face at Powhatan High School
Cost: FREE
