Powhatan High School is excited to offer two college-readiness testing opportunities during the school day on Friday, October 9, 2026.
This year, in addition to the PSAT/NMSQT for juniors, we are offering a NEW SAT School Day opportunity for both juniors and seniors. This allows students to take an official SAT during the regular school day at PHS rather than attending a weekend testing session.
Juniors may choose ONE of the two testing opportunities on October 9:
PSAT/NMSQT – 7:40 a.m. | $19
Provides SAT practice and is the qualifying test for juniors interested in National Merit Scholarship consideration. Payment deadline: September 18.
SAT School Day – 11:15 a.m. | $63
Provides an official SAT score that can be used for college admissions. Open to juniors and seniors. Payment deadline: September 25.
Payment serves as registration and must be completed through School Cash Online. Please see the attached informational graphic for additional details and the QR code for payment.
