Summer Assignments 2026
The goal of summer reading is to foster a life-long habit of enjoying books of all types.
Completed summer reading assignments should be submitted to English teachers by Thursday, September 3, 2026.
Summer reading projects are worth 5% of the first quarter grade.

Medications and supplies in the clinic should be picked up by dismissal time on 5/29/26. Any medication not picked up will be safely disposed of by the clinic staff. If your student will require medication at school for the 26/27 school year, please plan to meet with the school nurse during the staff work week of August 17-21st

For rising juniors and for rising college-bound seniors - get a head start on college applications this summer. PHS counselors and college admissions representatives will be available to help you navigate and to learn more about the college process.
Some of the topics covered are: College Research, Applications, Common APP, Essay Writing, Parchment account, NCAA Eligibility, Scholarships, and getting your FSA ID to be ready to fill out the FAFSA (Free Application For Federal Student Aid).
