Schedule: Monday–Thursday (No class June 18 or July 2)
Time: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Attendance: Required – students may miss no more than two days
Lunch: Not provided

Deadline for payment of advanced couses is May 15
SECONDARY SUMMER SCHOOL (GRADES 6–12)
PCPS provides Summer School opportunities for secondary students who:
Need credit recovery for core classes (English & Math)
Want credit advancement opportunities
MIDDLE SCHOOL CREDIT RECOVERY
For students who failed a core course during the 2025–2026 school year.
Courses: English 6–8 or Math 6–8
Format: Face-to-face at Powhatan High School
Cost: FREE

Core Courses Include: English, Biology, World History, Algebra I, Geometry

PHS Online Courses – $200
Please note advancement courses dates differ from summer school dates as these courses are full, 6 week courses. PHS online advancement courses run from June 2 - July 9.
