Powhatan High School Hosts Annual Spring Plant Sale

Powhatan High School is excited to announce its Annual Spring Plant Sale, hosted by the Horticulture program and FFA. This yearly event offers the community a chance to purchase a wide variety of plants while supporting student learning and agricultural programs.

Event Details

  • Dates: April 16–18

  • Hours:

    Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM and

    Saturday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

What’s Available

  • Shoppers will find a diverse selection of plants, including:

    • Vegetables: Tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, peppers

    • Flowers & Ornamentals: Marigolds, coleus, geraniums, petunias, impatiens, thunbergia, pentas, verbena, sweet potato vine

    • Herbs

  • All plants are grown and cared for by students, making each purchase a direct investment in hands-on education.

Location

  • The sale will take place at the PHS Greenhouse. Visitors can reach the greenhouse by taking Judes Ferry Road to Old Church Road, turning by the tennis courts, and following the road to the greenhouse located behind the school.

Support Student Learning

  • Proceeds from the plant sale benefit the Horticulture program and FFA, helping provide resources, materials, and opportunities for students interested in agriculture and plant sciences.
