Pre-Employment Transition Services (PreETS):
Designed for students with disabilities, PreETS may include:
Career exploration
Work-based learning experiences
Exploration of post–high school education and training programs
Workplace readiness training (social and independent living skills)
Self-advocacy skills development
Vocational Rehabilitation (VR):
The VR program helps eligible individuals with disabilities prepare for, obtain, and maintain employment. Services may include vocational counseling, training, and job placement support.
Monacan Services – Day Support Program - Maitlin Ware, Day Support Supervisor
Learn about Monacan Services’ Day Support Program, located in Powhatan, which serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Maitlin will provide an overview of the program and the supports offered.
Goochland-Powhatan Community Services - LaTasha Dodson
Goochland-Powhatan Community Services provides mental health, developmental disability, and substance use disorder services to residents of Goochland and Powhatan Counties. Services include community-based education, prevention, crisis intervention, counseling, and rehabilitation for individuals, families, and groups.
