Powhatan County Public Schools is proud to partner with Backpacks of Love, Inc., a local nonprofit organization that has been helping provide food to children in our community since 2011.
Through the program, students who may benefit from additional food assistance receive weekend food bags, which are distributed discreetly by school staff on the last school day of each week.
Interested in Participating?
Participation in Backpacks of Love is completely voluntary and free of charge. Families who would like their child to participate should complete the appropriate permission form below and return it to their child’s school counselor.
